There are rumours they'll divorce once they conclude their 21-date On The Run Tour.

Whether or not it's true, Beyoncé selected a very peculiar song to cover during the 50-second teaser for her September 20 HBO special with husband Jay Z.

We couldn't help but notice the choice of song that Queen Bey chose to sing for her 44-year-old husband

Try as they might, Beyonce and Jay Z can't help but fuel the divorce rumours.

The Partition hitmaker sings: 'Bang bang, he shot me down/ Bang bang, I hit the ground/ Bang bang, that awful sound/ Bang bang, my baby shot me down.'

The morbid, melancholy ballad was originally penned in 1966 by Sonny Bono and performed by Cher and later Nancy Sinatra.

However, some reports have the couple calling it quits before they hit the final date of the tour.

A source speaking to the New York Posts' Page Six, said: "I'm definitely not sure that they’ll make it to Paris," claiming that they spend most of their time apart offstage and are planning to divorce in the next few months.

But the duo have done their fair share to cast doubts on rumblings that they'll be heading their separate ways by regularly posting happy family pictures together on Instagram.
