There are LA nail brands, and then there's NCLA, the go-to line for young Hollywood including Queen Bey herself who has collaborated with them on the Beyoncé x NCLA Nail Wrap Collection.
The original LA-based nail experts have just launched in the UK (online and in Superdrug stores), bringing us the trends from across the pond at our fingertips.
The co-founder Elin Dannerstedt (pictured below) told us "Right now, nude nails are trending. It was awards season and a lot of celebrities wore nude nails to events". No wonder the NCLA Nudes collection (for light to dark skin tones) is flying off the shelves then.
So is their line born with Beyoncé, something we've been excited about since we heard news of it in December. "Beyoncé and her team are very hands on" Elin said. "We worked together to make sure the Beyoncé x NCLA Nail Wrap collection represented her style, sass and creative flare." It certainly does.
As you can see above, The 'I Woke Up Like This' design is a plaid pattern inspired by the shirt she wears in her ***Flawless video; 'Je Ne Sais Quoi' is based on the neon signs from her Blow video; 'No Rest in the Kingdom' pays homage to her iconic 2014 VMA Vanguard look and 'I Come with a Side of Trouble' is etched with the entire track listing and notable lyrics of her latest album. They're the antidote to a nude nail.
