Bill Cosby Sued Over Playboy Mansion 'Sex Act'

Cosby Sued Over 'Sex Act'

The lawsuit is believed to be the first court case to arise from the wave of sexual assault allegations against the comedian.

Bill Cosby has been sued by a California woman who claims the comedian molested her in 1974 when she was 15 years old.

Judith Huth claims in the sexual battery lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, that the incident happened at the Playboy Mansion.

The document claims she and a friend, age 16, met Cosby at a Los Angeles film shoot and that the comedian asked them to join him at his tennis club days later.

The lawsuit states that Cosby gave the girls drinks at the club before taking them to the Playboy Mansion, where he told them to lie about their age.

Huth's suit states Cosby forced her to perform a sex act on him at the mansion.

"This traumatic incident, at such a tender age, has caused psychological damage and mental anguish for the plaintiff that has caused her significant problems throughout her life," the complaint said.

Huth claims she suffered emotional distress and that she discovered its impact within the past three years.

The suit seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages.

Cosby's lawyer had no immediate comment on the lawsuit.

It is believed to be the first court case to arise from the recent wave of allegations of abuse levelled at 77-year-old comedian.

The former star of the 1980s TV hit The Cosby Show has refused to discuss the allegations raised by more than a dozen women that he sexually assaulted them decades ago.

Some claimed they were drugged and then molested.

Cosby's lawyers have said the allegations were "discredited" and "defamatory" and the comedian has not been charged.

In 2005, Cosby reached an undisclosed settlement with a Temple University basketball employee who accused him of molesting her at his suburban Philadelphia home.

On Monday, Cosby resigned from Temple's board of trustees. The university's most famous alumni had served on the board since 1982.

The allegations have threatened Cosby's wholesome public image and damaged his future in showbusiness. Several of his projects have been scrapped.
