When Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie appeared to tie the knot in secret in France, we had to give them credit for being super stealthy. However, the A-list couple has been hiding something else from us; their actual wedding took place just before those Chateau Miraval nuptials.
Angelina explained to Italian magazine, Io Donna: "Before the wedding in France with the kids, Brad and I were already married in California. As Americans, we couldn't marry legally in France."
She continued: "One day I said to Brad, 'Let's meet up at 4:30 pm? I called a justice of the peace and we signed the documents."
This secret, low-key exchanging of vows sounds just as romantic as the couple's quaint French wedding, which saw Angelina wear a dress designed by their kids. Getting married abroad is tricky, but Brangelina overcame that bump with all the grace and effortlessness we've come to expect from the pair.
